What is actually real in Objective Reality? How do you know? Now, prove it's real!

The End is Nye! Global Climate Change

Posted by pwl on February 27, 2009

Finally someone insightfully tackles today’s issues from a scientific perspective. In Bill Nye’s new show The Eyes of Nye, Bill shows the science involved in Global Warming, debunks the myth of sun-caused climate change, and how we and our obsession with cars and oil are by far the main contributors, especially in the U.S. The world is getting warmer. Is it our fault?”

Is the rise in temperature a product of the Industrial Revolution, the burning of fossil fuels, and the modern propensity for driving down to the mini-mart in a car the size of a woolly mammoth? Or is it just part of a natural global cycle? Bill investigates with a visit to the National Ice Core Laboratory in Denver, where scientists identify and evaluate atmospheric gases from 400,000 years ago, and a demonstration of how increased levels of carbon dioxide affect temperatures on Earth.”

Exercise for the Reader (that means you): Identify the assertions, facts, beliefs, proofs or lack there of – then report on them in the comments. How can you prove or falsify any of the statements? If you see a crucial flaw in the arguments do you also see how it flows throughout the conversation? If you see a crucial fact presented in the arguments do you also see how it flows throughout the conversation? Be detailed, cite references, no personal attacks, opinions must be substantiated. Please use time indexes (starting at, ending at, duration) when quoting or referring to material in the video so that others can see that clip.
