Flipping Out Over the SUN in 2012

Posted by pwl on March 16, 2009

Scientists have found two large leaks in Earth’s magnetosphere, the region around our planet that shields us from severe solar storms. The leaks are defying many of scientists’ previous ideas on how the interaction between Earth’s magnetosphere and solar wind occurs: The leaks are in an unexpected location, let in solar particles in faster than expected and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.

Of course the SUN couldn’t be influencing the Earth right? It’s impossible for the extra energy increase to have come from the SUN? Maybe, maybe not. Prove which it is. We still don’t even know the full Nature of the dynamics of the SUN-Earth-Moon system yet we are certain the SUN isn’t causing all of the temperature increases? Where is the proof? Must comprehend complex subject…

Posted by pwl on March 16, 2009

Matt Amsden has quickly established himself as one of the premier raw food chefs in southern California and the world. Matt’s company, RAWvolution, is the first of its kind, delivering gourmet raw food meals throughout the United States. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Matt began eating a diet of 100 percent raw foods virtually overnight after hearing an interview with author/lecturer David Wolfe on the Howard Stern Show. Matt’s desire to learn more about raw food preparation led him to Santa Monica, California, the heart of the raw food movement, where he soon began to share his talent with hundreds of people, including celebrities such as Margaret Cho, Woody Harrelson, Courtney Love, and Alicia Silverstone.

RAWvolution – More than a cookbook, RAWvolution is the indispensable, all-inclusive guide to the many powerful benefits of raw food.

David Wolfe is the author of the bestselling books Eating for Beauty, The Sunfood Diet Success System and Naked Chocolate . David is the co-founder and the leading voice on the continuously evolving online magazine http://www.thebestdayever.com where subscribers are motivated and brought up to speed on all the leading insights and strategies available in many fields including health, success, beauty, fitness, maximum joy, sensuality, wealth generation and peak performance. Outrageous consequences of the War on Drugs

Posted by pwl on March 16, 2009

One of the most outrageous consequences of the War on Drugs is the federal crackdown on medical marijuana, which is used by patients to help treat the effects of cancer, glaucoma, HIV-AIDS, chronic pain and nausea, and other severe symptoms associated with serious illnesses. Medical marijuana prescribed by a physician is legal in California and 11 other states, yet the federal agents are raiding state-approved dispensaries and preventing patients from having safe access to this drug.

In Episode 2 of The Drew Carey Project at Reason.tv, Drew takes a look at patients who need and use medical marijuana in California, and how the federal government is making their lives even worse.

Ever Dream of Floating?

Posted by pwl on March 16, 2009

One of my favorite reoccurring dreams is of floating and flying about just like in this video sans the first 34 seconds and sans the cigarettes.

Making Sense of the Data

Posted by pwl on March 16, 2009

getmesomethatdo

Which data can you trust? Data from who? How can you trust data when it seems to always be changing or getting corrected? How can you trust the data from people with a clear political agenda especially where there is contradictory data or conclusions drawn from the same, or what seems to be the same, data?

Sigh.
